UFF-FAMU-DRS Faculty Reach
Tentative Agreement On Contract Reopeners

UFF-FAMU-DRS and the FAMU-Board of Trustees have reached an agreement on the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 reopeners to the 2012-2015 employment contract for all for all FAMU Developmental Research School faculty. The union encourages a strong YES vote and asks for your vote.

The 2012-2013 Reopener agreement changes:

Article 23 –Provides a $1000 bonus to all DRS faculty who were employed by FAMU as of May 1, 2013, received an effective evaluation for the 2012-2013 school year and were re-appointed for the 2013-2014 school year. The 2012-2013 bonus will be paid to employees within 30 days after ratification by the parties.

The 2013-2014 Reopener agreement changes:

Article 23 - All faculty who receive a Highly Effective performance rating for the 2012-2013 academic year shall receive a $2500 salary increase.

All faculty who receive an Effective performance rating for the 2012-2013 academic year shall receive a $2000 salary increase.

All faculty who were first employed at DRS during the 2012-2013 academic year and received a Developing/Needs Improvement performance rating for the 2012-2013 academic year shall receive a $750 salary increase.

Creates new Supplemental Positions titled “Dean of Students” as provided in Appendix J.

All members of the bargaining unit, all FAMU DRS faculty are eligible to vote as follows.

Please bring a photo ID to the polls.

Voting at the DRS Cafeteria

Tuesday, October 1, 2013, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The votes will be counted after the polls close at 5 pm on October 1, 2013, in the DRS cafeteria.
